So, I was all set to begin writing a post about iphone photography [a cool little series that will be coming your way soon] but for some reason, I just couldn’t get it right!
It just didn’t feel right [yet]. I was all set to finish it up yesterday and I just couldn’t do it! So as I began working on my list, ticking things off, I kept noticing the same little message pop up – like EVERYWHERE!
And it’s my belief that if you see/feel/hear/take notice of something three times, you need to pay attention! Three – the number I’ve decided is the universes way of shouting at you… pay attention!
So. I did.
I followed these messages and the synchronicities were so interesting. While lying in bed last night I said to myself, “This is the blog post that I need to write today.” So here I am.
‘It’s always the perfect time’ Stay present! In all moments, you have no need to be impatient, everything you’ve worked so hard for IS THERE, nothing you do wrong will change it.
Breath in, breath out and release… Honestly, having just returned from five weeks overseas where I married my dreamboat and then we galavanted around Europe, laughing, exploring and drinking red wine – like everyday! I got home and excitedly back into work. But I’d be lying if I didn’t recognise overwhelm creeping up! It’s a habit of mine, to come back from an amazing experience and think, “I’m running out of time!” and “Why can’t it all just ‘happen’ already?”
The message continued and it read:
“You’re always so busy’ yada yada… Breathe it away, busy is perception. You can slow down all of your experiences, no matter how much you do in a day.”
This is something that I have been known to do in the past and I’m trying really hard to catch it before it creeps back! It’s the “busy-ness” problem. The feeling that being busy gives me purpose. I’m beginning to see the difference between being busy and letting the feeling give you purpose. So I’m declaring, NOT ANYMORE!
Using this message I’ve decided that my current mantra is:
“I’m exactly where I’m meant to be and because of this, everything I need is HERE.”
This feeling then lead me to make a decision about my health and fitness, something I am really passionate about. Before evening seeking out new ideas of how I can achieve this, I followed an article, written by the wonderful Brieann from Wabi-Sabi Well
Have you been to this website? You HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT!! When I landed on this page, I felt a sense of peace. A sense of; “This is exactly where you need to be..”
Lying in bed, reading a little of my current book; “Still Alice” by Lisa Genova this beauty of a paragraph hit me right in the face;
… “My yesterdays are disappearing and my tomorrows are uncertain, so what do I live for? I live for each day. I live in the moment. Some borrow soon, I’ll forget that I stood before you and gave this speech. But just because I’ll forget it some tomorrow doesn’t mean that I didn’t live every second of it today. I will forget today, but that doesn’t mean that today didn’t matter.”
So I’m going to make a statement! A public announcement right here, right now!
I’m committing to doing these three things everyday for 21 days and when the time is up, I’ll jump back here and share my thoughts, feelings and pretty much anything that had come up for me.
Wake up and do this
Sit and do this
